Originally build in the 1800, this special category luxury hotel has had many lives. If walls could talk then I'm sure the walls in this hotel would have some interesting tales to tell. Primarily the building served as an Ottoman school (medrese) where both teachers and pupils lived together for over 70 years. In the early 1900's it was converted into a hospital serving the merchants of the Ottoman hand-craft producers, before becoming a hostel for students and young travelers. In 2005 it was beautifully renovated to become what is now a unique historical special category luxury hotel and museum.

There are 49 rooms over 3 floors and 5 room categories, all exquisitely furnished in an elegant Ottoman style. Furniture is made of dark wood with warm coloured fabrics and the floors are covered with Turkish carpets. The high ceilings give a light and airy feel and the modern amenities seamlessly integrated offer guest a comfortable and pleasant stay.  The hotel showcases a collection of Ottoman antique furniture and artifacts.

There are 2 restaurants the re-known Matbah is an al la carte restaurant offering a unique menu, which comprises twenty seven outstanding dishes from Matbah-ı Beray-i (Kitchen of Sultan's Palace) for your exclusive taste.
