An hours flight north of Bangkok is Chiang Mai a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of Thailand capital. Dating back to the 13th century Chiang Mai  is bound by city walls and five gates. It has over 300 temples but its the Thai Elephant Conservation Centre that it is most famous for. It also has a wonderful night market that extends along the Chang Khlan road for 1km. Here you can find handmade goods,souvenirs and food.

Thailand has an enormous array of islands offering wonderful opportunities for diving swimming and sunbathing. The three largest islands are Phuket which lies in the Andaman Sea, Koh Samui found in the gulf on Thailand and Koh Chang also in the Gulf of Thailand. Is has 2130 square kilometers of coral reef ideal for any avid scuba diver. Many of its islands have been developed for tourist but there are still a few that are protected parks.

Thailand has a very good network of internal flights allowing visitor easy access to all its regions so its very easy to arrange a multicenter holiday. They have an exorbitant number of hotels of high standard offering a multitude of facilities.
